Mood and Food

Mood & Food – is there a connection?

The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) reports that 1 in 5 Canadians will experience mental illness in any given year. And by the age of 40, 50% of Canadians have either experienced mental illness or are currently struggling with it (CMHA).

What we eat makes up who we are and there are key nutrients needed to support mental health. The only way we can get them is through nutrient dense foods and good digestion. Consider this – our brain is greatly affected by our food choices – 25% of our daily intake is used as energy by the brain!

This cooking class is for you if you’re:
  • Ready to make some changes (but aren’t ready to change everything just yet)
  • Ready to learn how to improve your mood through your food choices
  • Looking for a night out with delicious food
  • Looking for new recipes to support your mood
In our 90ish minutes together, I’ll share:
  • Why you should care about your food
  • How to put together mood boosting meals
  • The micro changes you can start making right away to improve mood
  • Delicious, mood-boosting recipes
Join me in the kitchen for a fun & interactive cooking class where you’ll get more than just food – you’ll also gain knowledge that will help boost your mood long after the class is done! I’d love to connect with you and show you the power of food when it comes to mood! You’ll also walk away with a helpful guide on food and mood, along with all of the recipes shared during the class.
